The CCPW was launched by the ICCPA in 2007 to raise awareness of the importance of cervical cancer prevention by cervical screening and HPV vaccination. Since the launch of the CCPW, hundreds of thousands of events have been held across Europe. The events listed below are just a small sample to illustrate what people have done. The ICCPA would like to express our sincere thanks to all the people who made the CCPWs such a great success. Given that lack of awareness is a key barrier to cervical cancer prevention, this support for the CCPW is making an enormous contribution to reducing cervical cancer rates in Europe.
